Winter RVing at Whistler RV Park and Campground
All winter bookings must be made by phone or email to ensure you’re fully prepared for your stay.
Winter RVing offers a unique experience, allowing you to enjoy Whistler’s natural beauty at a more affordable cost. It’s the perfect opportunity to escape the busy crowds and take in the crisp winter air, starry nights, and stunning alpine glow sunsets.
Important Winter Considerations:
-
Weather: Winter RVing at Whistler is different from summer, so please check the weather forecast before arriving. Our campground is accessible via an 11% grade hill. While we plow the road regularly, snowstorms can make access challenging. Please call ahead if conditions are unclear or if you’re planning to leave during a snowstorm.
-
Vehicle Requirements: We require all guests to have winter tires, and 4×4 vehicles if towing. Ensure that your ABS and trailer brakes are functioning correctly. We also recommend bringing chains if you’re not comfortable driving in winter conditions.
-
Road Conditions: For up-to-date road conditions in Whistler, please visit the following link: Drive BC – Whistler Road Conditions. The Brew Creek North View is the RV Park’s exit.
-
Site Conditions: Our sites are plowed regularly, but please be prepared for the possibility of waking up to several feet of snow. Picnic tables and septic hookups may be buried and are marked with green and orange snow marking posts. These are also moved to the side to avoid interfering with snow clearing. We recommend bringing a shovel to help clear your area as needed.
-
Facilities: In winter, the only showers open are located near sites 227 to 235, while the other 3 bathrooms at the back of the park remain open. Please ensure all doors to the bathroom buildings are kept closed during the winter months to prevent freezing. The dishwashing station is also closed during winter as it is an outdoor facility.
-
Water & Power: Our sites are equipped with water and power year-round! The water posts are heated to prevent freezing, though you may occasionally encounter a small buildup of ice. A quick application of a hair dryer or heat gun to the nozzle should help clear it up. Please ensure your 15-amp breaker is left in the “on” position, as this is what activates the heating inside the water post. It is also your responsibility to have your own heated drinking water hose for connecting to your RV.
-
Snowmobiling: Whistler RV Park is snowmobile-friendly, with direct access to the Brandywine Mountain snowmobile zone right from the back of the park. Snowmobile day trail passes are available for purchase at the office. Please be aware that snowmobile noise may be present throughout the park.
